This study aims to assess whether or not the presence of credit bureaus is associated with more fewer financing constraints while considering interfering effect corruption in a sample 18 countries Eastern Europe and Middle East North Africa (MENA) region during period 2011–2014. We consider various financial constraint measures indices, stability relationship for different levels economic development corruption. The estimation outcomes suggest that higher might produce less transparent falsified information would make access sources difficult firms. Our findings curbing creates efficient that, turn, decrease subsample estimations confirm these show longer-term MENA than European bureaus’ effective, imposing constraints. remain robust indices addition new control variables such as firms’ sales size, government exporting firms, per-capita GDP, inflation, trade, population human capital.
